Abarth is the racing division of Fiat. As AMG is to Mercedes-Benz and Cooper is to Mini, Abarth is to Fiat.
Performance for all. An idea born in 1949 through the vision of Carlo Abarth, who imbues his cars with the strong, determined and indomitable character of his zodiac sign, Scorpio, which first became a logo, and then an unmistakable sign of cars with unique dimensions, form, speed and attitude.
After much success racing his sports cars in events like the Targa Florio and Nurburgring 500ks he sold the company to FIAT in 1971, who went on to win World Rally Championships in the FIAT 131 Abarth.
After a period when the Abarth name was virtually unused, it was re-launched to produce the hugely successful sporty derivatives of the FIAT 500 we see today.
There are various versions of the 500 in hatchback and cabrio guise ranging from the standard 135bhp version from £14,500 through 160bhp Turismo and Competizione versions to the full race bonkers 695 Biposto for over £53,000!!
We can’t guarantee we will be able to show you the Biposto but visit us to see and try the other variants.
